Thread the Change is a fashion show fundraiser for My New Red Shoes and an awareness program about the importance of sustainability and ethical labor practices in the clothing industry. Proceeds from the event will help MNRS to deliver programs that assist Bay Area families facing financial hardship.
The two-hour event will be held on Sunday, October 6, 2024, from 3pm to 5pm at Peninsula Golf & Country Club and will feature educational presentations, speakers, a runway show featuring “Quiet Luxury” fashions from local stores, and refreshments. Students from local high schools are leading as event organizers and runway models.

My New Red Shoes (MNRS) works to create a just and equitable society where every child thrives. We do this by meeting the basic needs of children and their families, fostering financial stability in their homes, and investing in opportunities that empower their future.
Since our founding in 2006, MNRS has delivered essential items to over 260,000 children and their family members and distributed more than $2.6 million in direct cash support to households with low-income.
Supporting Thread the Change provides businesses with exposure to new audiences and ensures that a larger percentage of funds raised can be used to support the work of My New Red Shoes.
